Project Background

One of the first initiatives of DEC (Design Education Community) was to set in place ways for us to interact, promote design and start a conversation about the future of our discipline. Out of that came the idea for a series of conferences that would be hosted by a variety of universities around the country. Intent/Content was an Education conference that took place in Nashville TN in 2007. It was a collaborative effort by a team of educators from around the state including Cary Staples, Noel Lorson, Rebecca Targ and Lucas Charles. We used the Boyer Model as an organizational theme for the conference. Shown here is our conference logo and materials.
