Project Background

Funding for The National Endowment for the Arts has decreased year after year. What seems to be missing from our collective understanding is that at it’s best, Art challenges assumptions and forces us to look at our own humanity…whether we like it or not. This typographic visual is a reaction to that perspective. I don’t remember who said this, but I like it: “Achieve your purpose, whether others agree with you or not”. These t-shirts and bumper stickers are meant to raise awareness and money for arts funding programs.
