One of the many reasons why I love to travel is the opportunity to observe culture and nature that I wouldn’t normally get exposed to. Most of my photos are from traveling but some are just outside my back door. I admire photographers like Dave Winogrand who can find patterns, mood, movement and unusual juxtapositions behind a lens. Or, the emotional qualities in Diane Arbus’s work. Either way, the feeling that you are right there taking the photo with them is what I find so astonishing.
